<body>A documentary profiling young artists in Los Angeles who collaborate on a mural at the L.A. River.

The short covers several themes, races and personalities, but primarily this is about art in the city. How it is created and what it means to people creating it. Ultimately it is a form of expression that doesn't have an outlet in their day to day life. The film offers profound, intelligent insights by inner city youth that is unexpected and touching. Original music from Plug Research Records is used to score the film.

Award winner at The International Festival of Cinema &amp; Technology, Los Angeles. Official entry at Festival de Cannes, Short Film Corner.</body>

<body>Since the 1960s, Anton van Dalen has left his artistic mark on the galleries and public spaces of the New York Burroughs. His creative fondness for avian subjects and flight, however, leads us to a private arena hidden from the pedestrians below. Stemming from a pastime in his native Holland, van Dalen has long maintained a pigeon coop on top of his Lower East Side townhouse. In this short film, van Dalen opens up his home and coop for a firsthand glimpse into this unique and nearly-extinct hobby. Van Dalen&#8217;s affection for his birds and their wellbeing paints a fond portrait of a New Yorker who has carved himself a small piece of paradise. </body>

<body>Based on the story by Bernard Malamud, THE FIRST SEVEN YEARS involves Feld, an immigrant shoemaker working in New York's Lower East Side in 1949. Feld tries to fix up his Americanized daughter Miriam with an enterprising college boy named Max. Unfortunately, Miriam has already fallen in love with Feld's assistant Sobel, a recent &#233;migr&#233; and Holocaust survivor.

The New York Times wrote " The First Seven Years", with its conflicting takes on the elusive American Dream, is a perfect example of Malamud's ability to "&#201;take figures from the immigrant Jewish petty bourgeoisie and place them into struggles worthy of the Greeks." </body>
